WORKING FOR THE SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER

Wondering how Seattle's two newspapers are related? Not sure where to apply if you want to work for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer?

Since 1983, The Seattle Times Company and the Hearst Corporation, publisher of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer have had a joint operating agreement. Under this agreement, The Seattle Times Company handles all advertising, production, marketing and circulation operations, and most business and Web site production functions for both The Seattle Times and the Seattle P-I. For positions related to any of these areas for either newspaper, you should apply to The Seattle Times Company, which you can do on this site.

The news and editorial departments, and Web site content development, are independent, separate and competitive. If you are interested in applying for regular positions or internships in any of these areas at the Seattle P-I, you should apply directly to the Seattle P-I:

Seattle Post-Intelligencer
101 Elliott Ave W
Seattle, WA 98119
206/448-8000

Or you can visit the Seattle P-I's employment Web site.
