ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES

An advertiser's guide to what's new at The Seattle Times Company

Posted May 2006

Give your message muscle with Power Notes

The name says it all: Power Notes are an incredible marketing force. Your advertising message goes right on the front of The Seattle Times and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, drawing readers' eyes like nothing else.

Power Notes are ideal for announcing new products, special events or big sales. They're repositionable, allowing consumers to peel them off and affix them to their computers, calendars, refrigerators or phones. When used as a coupon, you can easily track usage through in-person redemption or over-the-phone coupon-codes. Plus, you can use them to drive readers to your ad inside the newspaper or to your company's Web site.

Power Notes allow advertisers to reach subscribers of The Seattle Times, the Seattle P-I or both newspapers any day of the week, or target geographically using The Seattle Times zones on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Each Power Note is tailored to your needs. Artwork is handled by our Advertising Design department, who can design a note to your specifications or produce one from your digital files. Notes are printed on white stock and can utilize up to four inks, including a solid background color. Printing on the backside is also available.

Do Power Notes work? You bet! As a test, The Seattle Times Company recently utilized a Power Note for a subscriber promotion, producing more than 800 phone calls and a 13 percent increase in call volume over previous year.

Whether your offer is a coupon, a grand opening announcement, a price point or limited time discount, your message sticks out with Power Notes.

For more information about Power Notes or other advertising options, please contact your account executive or call 206/464-2400.
