Setting the course | In the fall of 1985, we articulated our core values to create a clear and shared code of conduct that would direct and leverage our actions in a dynamic new phase of The Seattle Times Company.

Using our core values as beacons, we set our course.

The movement we started picked up speed and grew in the decade of the 1990s, a pivotal period that brought us three Pulitzers, substantial growth and increased financial strength.

Still, the best is yet to come.
